Karnataka Assembly LoP R Ashoka Accuses Congress Government of Attacks on Hindu Workers

Date:

Bengaluru, Karnataka – Karnataka’s Leader of Opposition (LoP), R Ashoka, has accused the Congress government in the state of being responsible for the killings of Hindu workers, particularly during the tenure of former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. In a statement that has stirred significant political debate, Ashoka said, “Whenever the Congress government has come to Karnataka, Hindu workers have been killed. Last time, during Siddaramaiah’s government, more than 36 Hindu workers were killed by terrorists and Congress people.”

Ashoka’s comments come amid growing political tensions in the state, as he linked the alleged violence to the Congress party. He further referred to the tragic death of a BJP worker in Kodagu, claiming, “Two MLAs threatened a BJP worker in Kodagu, and he committed suicide.” The BJP leader’s remarks were in reference to ongoing protests and growing frustrations within the party, accusing the Congress of fostering an environment where political violence is allowed to occur.

The Leader of Opposition stated that these alleged incidents were the primary reason behind the BJP’s protests against the current government. The BJP has been vocal in its opposition to what it describes as the Congress government’s failure to protect its supporters, particularly Hindu workers, and its inability to maintain law and order in the state.

These accusations have further intensified the already contentious political climate in Karnataka, with both parties trading allegations over governance and security issues. While the Congress has yet to officially respond to Ashoka’s claims, the issue is likely to fuel further debate and protest as the political landscape in the state continues to evolve.

As the situation develops, it remains to be seen how these allegations will impact public perception and the future course of the state’s political dynamics.
